Following Martin's 4th place in the opening prologue, Bennett from Carrick on Suir was a very impressive 3rd on yesterdays 186 kilometre stage which ended in a dramatic bunch sprint which saw a number of riders clash in the closing kilometre.

This was the Bora Argon 18 riders best ever result in a World Tour event – the 25 year old looks set to compete in his second Tour de France next month.

Today the riders are facing a 168 kilometre stage which includes 4 categorised climbs.
