Martin O’Neill says Sean Maguire is continuing to improve, after his move to Preston North End was confirmed earlier this morning.
The Cork City striker will join the Championship side at the end of July after agreeing a three-year deal.
O’Neill was watching on in the stands as Maguire hit a hat-trick in last night’s 3-0 win over Dundalk to help them move 18 points clear at the top of the Premier Division.
Speaking this morning O’Neill said they have no new injury concerns ahead of tomorrow evening’s friendly with Uruguay at the Aviva Stadium.
