Ireland still in the hunt for World Equestrian Games medals.

Lynch is 34th overall on the individual standings at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy following yesterdays second day of competition.

He played a key role in helping Ireland qualify for today’s final round of the team show jumping competition after knocking just a single fence with his horse All Star 5.

Wexford’s Bertram Allen remains the best placed Irish rider, in 14th place with Molly Malone, while Offaly’s Darragh Kenny is in 33rd position.

Ireland go into today’s team medal deciding competition in eighth place overall and will be hoping to grab one of the five automatic qualification places on offer for the Rio Olympic Games.
