Harty Cup heartbreak for Our Lady’s

The Tipperary school went down 0-11 to 0-8 in today's final against Ard Scoil Ris at McDonagh Park, Nenagh.

They played with a strong breeze at the backs in the first half and made use of that advantage to lead 0-7 to 0-5 in the interval.

Brian McGrath, Jamie Bergin, Lyndon Fairbrother and Kevin Hassett were Our Lady's points scorers in the opening 30 minutes.

Ard Scoil Ris fought back strongly in the second period, scoring 6 points to Our Lady's 1.

It was also notable that although the match was end-to-end in concluding quarter of an hour neither team managed to add to their tally.

This meant that the Limerick school won the match and secured their fourth victory in the prestigious Munster hurling competition this decade.

However, Our Lady's season isn't at an end yet – they've still got at least an All-Ireland Quarter-Final against the beaten Connacht finalists in two weeks' time.
