Gunners maintain pressure on Premier League leaders Leicester

Goals from Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud helped Arsene Wenger's side to take all three points – despite a late strike from Yaya Toure that set-up a tense finish to the game.

The Gunners have now climbed back to within two points of Leicester at the top of the table, while they have also put some breathing space between themselves and City, who remain six points adrift of the leaders and four behind Arsenal.

However, there was one major disappointment for Arsenal fans after last night's game.

Wenger confirmed that Alexis Sanchez had a set-back in his return from injury during the week and the Chilean isn't expected to return to action until January 10th.
