Galtee Rovers / St Pecaun overcome Moycarkey-Borris

In the County Senior football championship, Galtee Rovers/St Pecaun were convincing 1-12 to 0-8 winners over Moycarkey-Borris in Leahy Park Cashel last night

At half time Galtee led their group 3 rivals by 0-5 to 0-3 despite playing against a strong breeze.

A Darren McGrath goal in the second half when he soloed through the Moycarkey defence and kicked it to the net was enough to put daylight between the teams.   

Galtee manager Seamus Delahunty says his side are still in the hunt for the county championship if other results go their way

In local hurling action results, 

There was wins for Ballylooby-Castlegrace and Killenaule in the South Tipp Junior hurling championship.

Ballylooby overcame Clonmel Óg running out 4-12 to 3-7 winners. In the other encounter Killenaule defeated Cahir by four points on a 1-20 to 3-10 scoreline.
