Wins for Swans, Borrisoleigh & Arravale Rovers in Divisional Finals

Carrick Swans won their first South Senior Hurling title in seven years, last evening, beating a fancied Killenaule side in Fethard.

A Danny O’Hanlon goal with three minutes to go in the game was the crucial score, as Swans won on a scoreling of 1-13 to 14 points.

They remain the most decorated south hurling club with 23 titles to their name.

Meanwhile, Borrisoleigh have won their 15th North Senior Hurling title as goals in either half from Conor and Niall Kenny proved the difference in beating Nenagh Eire Og.

The conditions at McDonagh Park Nenagh were difficult, with Borrisoleigh taking an early lead.

However, Nenagh made a comeback to within 2 points in the second half, only to see the secomd goal scupper their chances of winning the game.

It finished up Borrisoleigh 2-19 Nenagh Eire Og 0-18.

In the early game – Arravale Rovers overcame Galtee Rovers in the West Senior Football Final.

Arravale went in 2 points up at half time, thanks to goals in the first half from Timmy Dalton and Bryan Lowry.

Two more goals in the second half from Shane Leahy and Stephen Quinn ensured the victory for the Tipp town side – 4-10 to 2-10
