Semple hosts hurling qualifier double-header

Tipperary have home advantage for their All Ireland senior hurling qualifier.

Dublin are the latest team to stand in the way of Tipperary retaining their All Ireland senior hurling title.

Waterford and Kilkenny will meet in the other game – both will be played in Thurles on Saturday.

Former Tipp manager and player Ken Hogan says Dublin aren’t necessarily the easy draw many people feel.

Tipp and Dublin throw-in at 5 o’clock in Semple Stadium on Saturday evening and the game will be live here on Tipp FM.

That will be followed at 7 by the clash of Kilkenny and Waterford.

The winners will face either Wexford or the losers of the Munster final in the All-Ireland quarter-finals.

In football Clare take on Mayo from 5pm in Cusack Park, while an hour later at 6pm Meath face Donegal at Pairc Tailteann.
