Reigning champions Thurles Sarsfields are through to the Mid Tipp senior hurling final after they defeated JK Bracken’s 5-26 to 2-16 in Templetuohy last night.
The game was overshadowed by a serious leg injury late in the game to Sarsfields and Tipperary senior hurler Billy MacCarthy.
The Cathedral town side were in control of the game from early on going in 4-13 to 1-10 ahead at the break and it was a lead they never relinquished.
The Sars will now play the winners of Holycross Ballycahill and Loughmore Castleiney who meet on Friday evening.
