Eagerly awaited GAA divisional fixtures announced

The Mid, south and West Tipp GAA divisional fixtures were drawn last night.

Beginning with Mid hurling, the mouthwatering tie of the quarter finals sees a repeat of last years final where reigning Mid and county champions Thurles Sarsfields go up against Upperchurch Drombane.

Drom Inch face Loughmore Castleiney with Moycarkey Borris against Holycross Ballycahill while neighbours JK Bracken’s and Clonakenny go head to head.
In football reigning champions Loughmore Castleiney meet JK Bracken’s in one semi final while Drom Inch and Upperchurch Drombane clash in the other.
Moving to West Tipp, the two senior teams there meet in the hurling final-Eire Og Annacarthy are up against Clonoulty Rossmore.
The football in the west will be decided on a round robin basis with the top two of Aherlow Gaels, Arravale Rovers, Galtee Rovers and Eire Og Annacarthy meeting in the final.

In south Tipp hurling the Swans will play Killenaule with the winners meeting newly promoted St Mary’s in one semi final while Ballingarry and Mullinahone meet in the other.

In football the mouthwatering tie sees Clonmel Commercials up against Moyle Rovers at the quarter finals stage. Both clubs will hope to have completed the 2017 final replay before the 2018 championship meeting.
In the other quarter final Ardfinnan take on Ballyporeen, Cahir meet Killenaule while Kilsheelan Kilcash received a bye to the semi finals.
