Former Tipp star calls for dual player issue to be sorted

That's the view of former intercounty hurler Timmy Hammersley who believes the Premier has a sufficient depth of talent to be competitive in both codes.

The Clonoulty-Rossmore man was a member of the panel that lifted the Liam McCarthy Cup in 2013 and also won the All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling title three years later.

He's convinced that those who are proficient in both codes can be facilitated.
