Five runners for O’Brien in Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby

Trainer Aidan O’Brien has five runners in this evening’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh – including Epsom Derby winner Wings Of Eagles.

O’Brien’s top jockey Ryan Moore has opted to take the mount of the favourite.

Seamie Heffernan, successful in the race for O’Brien on Soldier Of Fortune and Frozen Fire, continues his association with Capri, who finished sixth at Epsom.

This season’s Newmarket 1,000 Guineas-winning rider Wayne Lordan will take the mount on Royal Ascot fourth Taj Mahal.

John Gosden’s Epsom third-place finisher Cracksman has the assistance of Irish champion jockey Pat Smullen, deputising for the injured Frankie Dettori.
