The Tipp side opened the scoring, a penalty then followed bringing their tally to 6 points to Highfield's no score. Nenagh then increased this to 13 through a Wille Coffey try but a penalty for Highfield saw them clock up 3 points followed by a try for the home side and at half time – it was 13 -10 to Nenagh Ormond.
Highfield then levelled in the second half and with 7 minutes to go they grabbed a penalty to take the lead but Nenagh Ormond also secured a penalty in the final minutes bringing the full time score to 16 points a piece.
