County Senior Hurling Semi-Final pairings are Announced

The first team out of the hat Drom Inch will face Nenagh Eire Og while Kilruane McDonaghs will face Mid and County champions Thurles Sarsfields.

Drom defeated a fancied Kildangan team at the weekend and with Seamus Callanan to the fore recently will start as slight favourites against Liam Heffernans Nenagh Eire Og.

For most neutrals Kilruane McDonaghs are the surprise packet in this this year’s championship. Liam O Shea’s side have gathered momentum as their year progressed and will relish the opportunity to face reigning county champions Thurles Sarsfields who are coached by Paddy McCormack.

The quarter final pairings in the County football championship were also announced live on Tipp FM.

The mouthwatering tie of the round sees the Charlie McGeever trained Clonmel Commercials up against the Declan Laffan’s Loughmore Castleiney

An all-West pairing sees Eire Og Annacarthy up against Aherlow Gaels. West champions Arravale Rovers will meet Killenaule from the South of the county.

The final game of the round sees Galtee Rovers and Moyle Rovers battle it out for a place in the Semi finals.

In the Intermediate Hurling Championship the quarter final match ups were also revealed by Tim Floyd county board secretary live on Tipp FMs Extra Time show.

 Thurles Sarsfields will meet the winners of St Mary’s and Cashel. North champions Newport will meet Golden Kilfeackle. Lattin Cullen will come up against Mid Tipps Clonakenny.

In the final tie of the quarter finals North runners up Ballinahinch will meet the winners of Mid champions Drom Inch and South champions Kilsheelan who will play this Wednesday night.
