Commercials rally to claim Munster club victory

The Tipperary title holders came from behind to score 6 points without reply in the final moments of the match to claim the victory over the Limerick side. 

The final scoreline at Clonmel Sportsfield was Clonmel Commercials 0-12 Newcastlewest 1-07

Charlie McGeever's men had failed to get ahead throughout most of the 60 minutes…the Limerick side went ahead right from the start with a goal and a point within the first three minutes of the game. 

But four points in three minutes from Commercials leveled the score with seconds left in the match…while two more late points sealed the deal for the South Tipp side…

They came from four points down to win by two points at the full time whistle.

Elsewhere in Munster club action this afternoon…Clonakenny are through to the next round of the Intermediate hurling championship. 

They beat Portlaw of Waterford in Templetouhy this afternoon on a final scoreline of 1-17 to 1-13

Meanwhile, St Mary's of Cahirciveen beat Upperchurch-Drombane by 2-12 to 1-10 in the Intermediate Football Championship in Cashel this afternoon. 

And Ballylooby Castlegrace went down to Ennistymon in the Junior Hurling competition….the final score at the Clare venue was Ennistymon (Clare) 2-8 Ballylooby-Castlegrace (Tipperary) 1-9
