It follows stellar performaces from the the Drum n Inch man throughout the 2015 season including the 3-09 he clocked up during Tipp narrow defeat to Galway in the All Ireland Senior Hurling Semi Final in August.
Killkenny as expected took the lions share taking a total of seven awards, beaten finalists Galway were awarded four of the coveted positions with the remaining three going to Waterford
In total there are seven first time recipients and five survivors from the 2014 team – with Séamus Callanan the only non-Kilkenny player to receive awards in both seasons.
The full forward is also nominated for the Hurler of the Year prize along with Kilkenny's Richie Hogan and TJ Reid with the winner named during Friday's Awards Ceremony
