Allardyce to speak with FA over vacancy

The club have confirmed that they gave Sam Allardyce permission to speak to the FA about replacing Roy Hodgson as England boss but added that they do not want to lose Allardyce just yet.

The club have urged the FA to “bring about a swift resolution to the matter” ahead of the new Premier League season.

 

Meanwhile in domestic news, Dundalk begin their Champions League adventure tonight as they take on Icelandic side FH Hafnarfjördur in the second qualifying round first leg at Oriel Park.
