Acheson unlikely to line out for Tipp in 2017

The outgoing team captain said after yesterday's All Star exhibition match in Dubai – where he's now based – that he can't see himself “going home in the next two years”.

However, Tipp boss Liam Kearns hasn't given up on enticing the Moyle Rovers man back into the fold.

The Kerryman, who's manager of this year's All Star team, used his trip to the Middle East to try and entice him home.

Acheson and three other Tipp players – Robbie Kiely, Conor Sweeney and Michael Quinlivan – played in the 2016 All Star football team's win against their 2015 counterparts.
