Tipperary Footballers secure victory over Sligo

It was a tightly contested match at times with the sides level on a number of occasions but the Premier side pulled away  to claim a 15 points to 13 victory and  finishing third in the table and now go on to play Wexford.

The game was delayed by almost 20 minutes after Colin O'Riordan sustained an injury in the second half and had to be stretchered off.

Speaking afterwards Senior Football Boss Peter Creedon says the young player will now undergo scans and he hopes the injury wasn't as bad as it appeared adding his thoughts are with the family.
