Ronan has won the nod to start at flanker ahead of the likes of CJ Stander or Sean Dougall and he's been named at openside alongside James Coughlan and team captain Peter O'Mahony.
O'Connell starts beside Donncha Ryan in the second row, but prop BJ Botha and scrum-half Conor Murray are both named on the bench.
