In Group 3 Carrick Swans had a mountain to climb against against Nenagh Eire Og this afternoon.
Nenagh took a big early lead there, and Swans gave themselves far too much to do to come back.
That game Finished up with an incredible score – Nenagh Eire Og 6-31 Carrck Swans 1-13.
Also in Group 3 of the County Senior Hurling Championship Kilruane McDonaghs went up against reigning County Champions Thurles Sarsfields.
Kilruane started well, but Thurles kept their heads to go into half time with a 5 point lead.
That game finished on a scoreline of 2-15 to 1-25 to keep Sars County title hopes on track for a third year running.
In Group 4 Killenaule faced off against Eire Og Annacarthy in Leahy Park Cashel.
That game was all square at half time, 1-7 to 10 points.
That game finished up on a scoreline of Killenaule 2-20 Eire Og Annacarthy 1-19.
In the earlier games; in group 4 Mullinahone came out with a win over Burgess.
It was a tight game the whole way through, often with no more than a point separating the sides.
The final score there was 1-17 to 18 points.
Also at 2 o clock, in the Seamus Ni Riain Senior Hurling Championship,
Toomevara were well deserved winners over Ballingarry on a scoreline of 2-23 to 1-17.
Ballingarry finished the game with 13 players as they saw red twice in the second half of the game.
In the evening games, there’s also a double header in Semple Stadium, which sees Drom Inch and Clonoulty Rossmore face off from group 2 at 6pm.
And in Group 1 Borrisoleigh take on Loughmore Castleiney at 7.30pm.
Finally, this evening, in group 1 Upperchurch Drombane play Kiladangan in Dolla at half 7.
