The athletes taking part in the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Los Angeles secured an impressive tally this year and will bring a haul of 82 medals with them.
Among the medal winners were Tipperary's two representatives on the team – Clonmel's Kelly Delaney in badminton and Templemore's Rachel Ryan in athletics.
The 88 sports stars, their families and support team are due back in Ireland shortly after 9.30 this morning.
