Tipperary Beaten By Limerick

Eamon O' Shea's side were beaten by 1-18 to 1-15 in their provincial Semi-Final clash at the Gaelic Grounds today.

Limerick started well and a Seanie Tobin goal midway through the first half saw the home team head in at half-time ahead by 1-07 to 0-07.

Nickie Quaid was proving inspirational in goal for Limerick, but he could do nothing about sub John O' Dwyer's goal for Tipperary, fifteen minutes into the second half.

At one point Tipperary led by 1-14 to 1-11, but five unanswered points from Limerick put them 1-16 to 1-14 in front and they never relinquished that lead.

Limerick now go on to a Munster Final date with either Cork or Clare, while Tipperary must regroup and get ready for the qualifiers.

However, there was better news for Tipperary in the Intermediate Semi-Final, with Michael Ryan's men beating Limerick in the curtain raiser at the Gaelic Grounds by 0-20 to 0-15.
