Tipp to host 7 race card this afternoon

There's plenty of local interest across the card, with the feature race being the 'Galway Plate Trial Handicap Steeplechase', which goes to post at 5 past 5.

The Tipp interest begins in the second race of the day- 'The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle', with John Ryan of Templemore saddling up Draycott Place, while Rodriguez will run for Charlie Swan.

The two Tipperary entries in the 'Galway Plate Trial Handicap Steeplechase' are Slieveardagh- for Ed O' Grady- and the JR Finn-trained Ballyfinboy.

Meanwhile…

The action at the Curragh continues this afternoon, with a 7 race card starting at 2:15.

Once again Aidan O' Brien is heavily represented at the Curragh this afternoon.

He saddles up Too Good To Be True in the opening race, where he's joined by two David Wachman horses; Gussy Goose and Perfect Fit.

As Good As Gold runs for O' Brien at 2:45, before Festive Cheer competes with Tommy Stack's Alive Alive Oh in the Group 3 Meld Stakes at 3:15.

Aidan O' Brien isn't finished there, though, with Peace Burg among a field that includes Lahinch Classics- running for David Wachman and Tommy Stack's Wannabe Better in the Kilboy Estate Stakes at 3:45.

And the Ballydoyle's final entry of the afternoon is Masai, who competes with David Marnane's Harry Trotter in the Rockingham Handicap at 4:45.

Elsewhere, Tim Doyle sends Gumption in the 4:15, with David Wachman keeping an eye on Supposing at 5:15.
