Tipp leave it late to see off Clare

Tipp fought back from 2 points down in the dying minutes of their semi-final against Clare to snatch a one point win. 16 points to 2-9 the final score in Semple Stadium.

Late points from Tommy Nolan, Jack Kennedy and Brendan Martin saw Tipp through to their 4th final in 5 years at this level.

Afterwards manager Charlie McGeever said last nights performance showed what Tipp are capable of but admitted improvements were still needed.

In last nights other semi-final Kerry needed extra time to overcome Cork on a scoreline of 16 points to 1-12.

Tipp will meet the reigning Munster and All Ireland champions on July 5th in the provincial final.
