Ryan says competitive nature of league will toughen new players

The 'cut-throat' nature of Division 1A of the Allianz National Hurling League will help the newer players on the Tipperary senior panel to come to terms with the demands of the intercounty game.

That's according to Tipp manager Michael Ryan, whose side have a crucial game against Galway on Sunday.

Having suffered two successive last-gap defeats the Premier County will hope to get the victory that ensures they head into the last round of fixtures with a chance of making the last eight of the competition.

Michael says even though results haven't gone in his team's favour recently there are still a lot of positives to be taken from the league campaign so far…

Tipp FM's live coverage of the match, which gets underway at 2 o'clock on Sunday, will be brought to you in association with Alliance Medical, South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel.
