Paidi Maher braced for Nenagh onslaught

Thurles Sarsfields are aiming to put back to back titles together but first they will have to beat Nenagh Eire Og in the final.

The Thurles side will start as slight favourites but Nenagh have put together a string of fine performances this year and will relish the opportunity to take on the reigning champions.

Sarsfields captain Paidi Maher told Tipp FM Sport that these occasions are rare and putting in a performance is what its all about.

Sunday's match throws in at Semple Stadium at 3.15 and Tipp FM will have full live coverage in assocation with Horse & Jockey KIA, Thurles.

In the opener on Sunday at 1 O Clock Clonakenny will take on Thurles Sarsfields Intermediates for the right to play senior hurling next year.

Sarsfields overcame Ballinahinch in the semi final while Clonakenny beat Newport.

The County Intermediate football final takes place tomorrow in New Inn when Clonmel Og will take on Upperchurch Drombane who defeated Mullinahone in the county semi final.

The winners will play senior football in 2016.

That game gets underway at 3pm.
