Tipperary's Colin O'Riordan will have to put his AFL dreams on hold after sustaining a broken bone in his back and a punctured lung while playing for the Sydney Swans' reserves team.
He was contesting a high ball with an opponent when a knee collided with his back.
O'Riordan has been ruled out of action for the foreseeable future and may have to wait until 2017 before resuming his AFL career.
