Mayo County Board say Keegan should have been replaced sooner

Mayo County board say they accept that Lee Keegan should have been withdrawn as a precaution “a number of minutes earlier” after he suffered what appeared to be a concussion during yesterday’s defeat to Cork.

Keegan appeared to have suffered a suspected concussion during their match at Pairc Ui Rinn after colliding with Cork's Eoin Cadogan.

Cadogan was immediately withdrawn after the particularly nasty looking clash, but the Mayo captain was not withdrawn until a little over ten minutes later.
