GAA rules on appeals ahead of Dublin-Mayo rematch

The Dubs now look certain to be without their key forward, Diarmuid Connolly for Saturday's match after he lost an appeal against his one match ban following his sending-off last Sunday.

Connolly can still make a further appeal, but now looks set to miss this weekend's re-match.

Meanwhile, Mayo say that Donal Vaughan is fit to start on Saturday.

Despite suffering a shoulder injury that forced him off the pitch after the opening minutes of last Sunday's game, the defender has surprisingly been included as part of an unchanged side from the one that started last weekend.
