The Tipperary County Board has approved the nomination of Michael Ryan and Paudie O'Neill to join Eamon O'Shea's backroom team with the Tipperary senior hurlers.

Michael Ryan from the Upperchurch Drombane club will take on the role of assistant manager – he won All Ireland and Munster senior hurling championships in 1991 – Michael was a member of the Tipp senior hurling managent team from 2008 to 2010.

Paudie O'Neill is a native of Clonmel and now lives in Dublin and played hurling with St Marys and football with Commercials in Clonmel. He has been appointed as the team trainer. Paudie has also coached and managed Dublin under 21 and minor hurling teams.
