Local GAA action from across the county

Last year’s mid champions Loughmore Castleiney are the first team through to the Mid Tipp semi finals, following a comprehensive victory over Clonakenny in Templemore last evening.

The game finished on a scoreline of Loughmore 27 points, Clonakenny 4 points.

Down for decision this evening, are two more quarter finals – with the double header getting underway in Holycross from 4.

First up, Upperchurch Drombane face JK Bracken’s and then at 6 in what’s the stand out tie of the round, Drom & Inch face Thurles Sarsfields.

In the last quarter final pairing, Moycarkey Borris face Holycross in Boherlahan at 2pm tomorrow.

Also down for decision this evening is the first West Senior Football Championship semi final, between Galtee Rovers and Aherlow Gaels.

That game throws in at quarter to 7 in Sean Tracey Park, Tipp town.

The other semi final between Eire Og Annacarthy and Arravale Rovers takes place on Wednesday.

In the South there are two Quarter finals in the Senior Football Championship down for decision this evening.

At the Clonmel Sportsfield, Ardfinnan take on Fethard, and in Fethard GAA Park Kilsheelan Kilcash take on Clonmel Commercials.

Both games get underway at 18.45.

 

The first semi-final in the North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship takes place this evening when defending champions Kiladangan face Nenagh Éire Óg in Dolla at 6.30pm.

Meanwhile Borris-Ileigh and Templederry Kenyons will battle it out for a place in the final tomorrow evening at MacDonagh Park, Nenagh at 6.30pm.
