Concern over Munster championship changes

The magic of Championship hurling is being taken away with the new format – according to a former Tipperary hurler.

Paddy Stapleton’s comments come as the schedule for next summer’s championship is to be revealed this evening.

The structural changes see the Munster and Leinster hurling championships being run on a league basis, with the top team through to the All Ireland semi final, and the second and third placed teams through to the quarters.

Stapleton says it’ll put spectators off going to games.
