The Curragh based trainer has won the last two runnings of the Grade 2 Boylesports Michael Purcell Novice Hurdle with Lyreen Legend and Bright New Dawn – he will bid for 3-in-a-row when he saddles Giant-of-a-man for whom Paul Carberry has been booked to ride.
However the Willie Mullins trained Urano is likely to start favourite under Ruby Walsh – a field of seven will face the starter at 4.05.
The seven-race card at Thurles gets underway at 2.25.
