Munster secure home advantage in European knock out stage

Leinster and Munster will both be at home against European heavyweights after the Champions Cup quarter-final pairings were confirmed.

Munster will play host to three-time champions Toulon after they secured the bonus point they needed in yesterday’s win over Wasps.

Defending champions Saracens snuck into the knockout stage as eighth seeds, and they’ll take on Leinster in a mouthwatering quarter-final at the Aviva Stadium.

The other quarter-finals sees Scarlets face La Rochelle and Clermont take on Racing, with the two Irish provinces not able to meet until the final.

Ulster’s European campaign came to an end after a poor 26-7 loss away to Wasps, in a game where a win would have seen them reach the knockout stage.
