The Irish Times is reporting that the Leinster and Ireland forward is in France to discuss terms, with both Toulon and Montpellier interested.
It's understood that Heaslip's wage demands have not been met by the IRFU, and that Toulon coach Bernard Laporte recently met with him in Dublin.
Further contract discussions between the IRFU and Heaslip are expected, but it's believed Heaslip is strongly considering joining former Leinster teammate Jonathan Sexton in France.
