Galway expect major backlash from Tipp

After defeat to Dublin in the opening round, Tipp will host Galway this Sunday in the first of their two home games.

Following their 12 point defeat away to Dublin, Tipp manager Eamon O'Shea says his side will be aiming to bounce back from the opening defeat.

The Tribesmen scraped past Clare in their opening game, winning by just a single point.

And Galway selector Damien Curley says that continuing their run of form will be extremely difficult when they come up against the Premier County.

He admitted his side don't have the best record in Semple Stadium and he says Tipp will be determined to come out on top in front of their home crowd.

Meanwhile, Tipp's injury count has continued to rise and it looks like they'll be without Shane McGrath and Joe O' Dwyer for this weekend's game after they both suffered injuries in the game against Dublin.

Galway have made one change for their Allianz League Division 1A meeting in Thurles.

The change is at corner back where either Padraig Mannion or Fergal Moore will come in for Ronan Burke, depending on the results of a fitness test on both Mannion and Moore at training this evening.

Throw-in is at 2 o'clock on Sunday and Tipp FM will bring you full live coverage from Semple Stadium in association with The Kenyon Bar, Nenagh and Joey O Dwyer Butchers, Borrisoleigh.
