Lambert says dual player issue has to be tackled

The Tipperary Ladies Football captain has rowed into the dual player controversy.

Following their loss to Cavan last weekend Tipp will return to the intermediate ranks despite putting in some strong performances at senior level this year.

However the ongoing problem of players having to face two games within 24 hours – or in one case two in the one day for Tipp Camogie captain Orla O’Dwyer – has been a major concern.

Speaking on Tipp FM’s Extra Time last night Ardfinnan’s Samantha Lambert said it brings the whole issue of player welfare to the fore.
