Tipp left rueing missed opportunity against Roscommon

The Tipperary management team admits the Premier snatched defeat from the jaws of victory against Roscommon yesterday.

Having won their opening match in the National Football League against Cork, Tipp went into yesterdays game at home to the Connacht champions knowing victory would set them up nicely for the rest of the Division 2 campaign.

Things were well on track as they held a 6 point lead in the closing minutes only to see Roscommon hit 8 without reply.

Tipp coach Shane Stapleton says the defeat was hard to take.
