The 30-year-old left Championship side Birmingham City earlier this year after he was released as a free agent.
After previous stints at the Inchicore club under former managers Eamonn Collins and John McDonnell, Fahey has now rejoined the Saints for the 2014 campaign – becoming the sixth close season signing by Liam Buckley.
