Niall O'Meara added a second point to his tally in the 7th minute of the first half and a free from Callanan in the 10th minute brought the scoreline to 4 points to 2.

It's Tipperary's 41st Munster title…and the first piece of Championship silverwear for Eamon O'Shea as manager.

Tipperary have booked their place in the All Ireland semi final on the 16th August…where they will have to wait and see who their opposition will be once the quarter finals are played out.

Speaking after the match, Tipperary manager Eamon O'Shea had nothing but praise for his charges.

While Captain Brendan Maher also paid tribute to all involved in the background during his acceptance speech.

And it was a double victory for Tipperary today as earlier the county's Minor Hurlers overcame Limerick by 3 points

Final score was 20 points to 17
