MacDonagh’s and Loughmore progress to football semi-finals

Thomas MacDonagh's defeated Killenaule by 1-9 to 0-8 in Templemore.

And in Holycross the defending champions Loughmore-Castleiney saw off Arravale Rovers by 0-12 to 0-9.

Elsewhere around the county, Clonoulty/Rossmore won their fourth straight West U21 A Hurling title, beating Cashel King Cormacs by 2-18 to 0-8 in today's final at Kickham Park.

In Cappawhite Éire Óg Anacarty/Donohill defeated Galtee Rovers/Emly on a 1-12 to 1-6 scoreline in Group 1 of West U21 B Hurling Championship.

Mullinahone got the better of Fr Sheehy's in the South Intermediate Football Championship, winning by 0-10 to 0-9 in Clonmel.

At The Ragg it ended Thurles Sarsfields 2-10 Upperchurch-Drombane 0-10 in the Mid U21 B Hurling Championship.

The North U21 A Hurling Semi-Final in Dolla was won by Nenagh Éire Óg, who beat Kilruane MacDonagh's by 2-13 to 0-9.

And the North U21 B Hurling Final will be contested by Newport Gaels and Borris-Ileigh.

Newport Gaels beat Ballina by 5-11 to -10 in their semi-final in Templederry, while Borris-Ileigh edged the other tie against Lorrha in Moneygall by a point; 2-16 to 5-6 the final score there.

That final will be played next Saturday in Templederry, with throw-in at 2:00.

The North U21 A Hurling Final between Nenagh Éire Óg and Kildangan will throw in at 2:00 in Dolla next Sunday. 

Meanwhile, Killmallock are the Munster Senior Club Hurling champions.

They beat Cratloe of Clare after extra time by 1-32 to 3-18 at the Gaelic Grounds.
