No joy for Tipp Under 21’s in provincial decider.

The Tipperary Under 21 footballers fell to a disappointing defeat to Cork last night in the Munster final in Semple Stadium.

A crowd of 1,775 saw the Premier take a one point lead into half-time – 5 points to 4 after having spent most of first half behind.

However the Rebels opened the second half with five unanswered points in the first five minutes, and they pulled away when Mark Sugrue scored the only goal of the game in the 47th minute.

It finished Cork 1-17 Tipperary 0-9. Cork will now meet Ulster champions Cavan in the All Ireland semi-final.
