There’s a €20 million investment to change over to the Monroe supply for the entire town.

This is a hard water supply while the majority of the town is currently served by Poulavanogue which is soft water.

Mattie McGrath has also questioned the reliability of the supply.

The Independent TD has also highlighted the damage the hard water supply will cause to equipment in cafe’s and other businesses.
