Tributes have been paid to the late Mona Hanafin whose funeral Mass is taking place this morning.
Mona was the wife of former Thurles politician Des Hanafin.

Her daughter Mary became a Fianna Fáil minister and her son John was a senator.
Mona’s funeral Mass will be held at the at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Thurles at 11 o’clock this morning.
She’ll be laid to rest at St Patrick’s cemetery this afternoon.
A friend of the Hanafin family, local councillor Kay Cahill Skehan said she was very well known.
