Councillor Michael Brennan says people are not just living week-to-week but day-to-day.
That’s the stark warning from the Labour representative in response to Budget 2027.
He was a guest on the Friday Panel on Tipp Today earlier where he said any unexpected outgoing can cause major problems for families.
“The reality of this is that people are really living day-to-day – they can’t predict on Monday how much they’re going to have available to them come Thursday or Friday.
“It’s that whole cohort now that has been really hit again here with this budget. It’s the struggles that they’re facing every day – when a child comes home from school there’s something on, there’s an activity, and its an extra cost that people don’t have the budget for.”
