Warning about new scam targeting people in Tipperary..

People are being warned to be on the lookout for a scam which has caught a number of people in County Tipperary in recent weeks.

The scam has been carried out on at least 3 occasions in recent weeks in Nenagh, Roscrea and Thurles.

The victims believe they are actually buying an I-Phone and a laptop after handing over anything between €420 and €500

But when they bring the product home, the packages contains nothing but newspapers or bottles of water.

A toyota corolla is believed to be involved and anyone who falls victim to the scam is asked to contact Gardai.
