Tom Hayes promises that information not compromised during office burglary

South Tipp Fine Gael Deputy Tom Hayes has moved to assure
his constituents, that any information contained on computers
which were stolen from his office during a robbery last night.

The South Tipp Deputy's constituency office in Cashel,
was targetted in a burglary overnight.

Gardai are investigating.

Deputy Hayes says all Oireachtas computers are equipped with
a Checkpoint Encryption System that will prevent any such
information falling into the wrong hands.

He also said he does not believe the robbery was politically
motivated.
