The former workers blocked the factory gates last Friday.

This was  to stop lorries operating to and from from a sister business, Vita Clean, on the same site.

There are between six to eight people employed at Vita Clean.

Protesters made their intentions clear to a company representative who visited the plant this morning.

Meanwhile, SIPTU have made no official comment on the workers' action.

A spokesman for owner Tipperary man Jack Ronan said this morning he was considering this latest development and a statement  may follow this afternoon.

The sit-in at the Kinsale Road plant began 109 days ago.
