Garda figures show mobile speed cameras are working –
with motorists more likely to stick to speed limits in camera zones.

Authorities say that proves there's a direct correlation between
speed, and road deaths.

Gardaí say last weekend's 'Operation Slow Down' was a huge
success – with the number of motorists being caught speeding cut by half.

More than 75 thousand vehicles were monitored by the GoSafe
camera vans during the 24 hour operation.

A review of speed cameras, and their effectiveness,
will be published shortly.
